Sports & Recreation



 

In the country of Belize no matter where you go you will see children participating in some type of recreational activity and because they  lack the proper equipment they will use just about anything. Belize children have to be creative  and will use whatever they  can find to play with, for example some children will use rocks and a stick to play baseball or you may find them playing soccer (futbol) with some old bundled up clothes held together with string and two rusty cans filled with dirt to mark their goal posts.

 

    With 75% of the population under the age of 35, Sports and Recreation is an essential part of their social development.

We believe that Sports and recreational programs allows youths to connect with others in the community as well develop sportsmanship and good character. This in turn will lead to less crime because their time is being used productively.  Will you help us help them?
