So how did they save the toys 4 smiles toy drive? The story begins with our founder Marilyn Garnett. While she was at work her Vice principal stop her in the hallway and told her I have not seen you here in long time, and as a joke she told her that she just came back from Belize, and she needed toys she then handed her a flyer fom last years toy drive and then they both began laugh.  At that point she decided tell her the truth. She told her that she was actually in Los Angeles taking care of her daugter who at the time was sick and that she had to return back to Los Angeles to assist her as soon as possible. She also mentioned that she wanted to send toys to the children in Belize, but with her current circumstances she would not be able to collect toys this year for the children,and so the conversation ended as breif as it begun. But her cries did not go unheard, athough she may have thought so.

While in Los Angeles she recieved a call from her fellow co-worker. She told her Marilyn the kids are collecting toys for the children in Belize. She could not believe what she heard. she responded "the children are doing what" toys Marilyn toy xthe children have been collecting toys for you for the children of Belize. In 14 days they Manage to collect over 2000 pieces of  toys for the children.
